Submandibular Gland Surgery

Submandibular Gland Surgery

The submandibular gland, located under the jawline on both sides of the face, is a salivary gland that may be affected by benign or malignant tumours. Compared to the parotid gland, however, there is a higher possibility of malignant tumours developing in this area.

It is advised that such tumours, even the benign ones, be surgically removed upon discovery as these will continue to grow in size and may turn malignant if left untreated.
